2013 - May 31st

Ella has her 2nd sleep study to get her set up on CPAP tonight. As you can imagine she isn't thrilled with the idea of doing it all over again.  I am not so sure how well she is going to tolerate the mask, especially if it interferes with her sucking her thumb (though I would love that habit to go away.)  So, today while she was at school I went and bought her a "sleep study present," (I am SOOOO not above bribery!) When we got home from school I told her I got her a present and she was so excited, the girl loves presents!  Here she is with her new kitty to cuddle with while she sleeps tonight!
Sweet girl. She said " I will call him wiggers."  LOL. For those of you that don't speak Ella, it is whiskers : )  We also went on a date...just me and Ella. She picked Red Robins, of course, and we had a great time!
My handsome guy gets to go spend the night with Nana and Grandpa since dad is at work!  Tomorrow he gets to go to his friend Kellen's house and spend the day playing with him, he is quite excited!!!!! I sure do miss this boy when he is away from me, but I know he is having fun!!!!

2013 - May 30th

Tonight was the last night of Upward Cheerleading for the season. They had a little ceremony and gave the kids each a duffle bag and they played one last game....with some of the Gonzaga Basketball players.

I'm not sure what I did, most have bumped my camera onto a different setting, but most of my pics turned out blurry. Here is the one clear one of Ella cheering.

After the game the Zags signed the kids shirts etc.  Sadly because I do not care about basketball at all I don't know who any of these people are....but I know they are a big deal around here....and it was awfully nice of them to come play with our kids!!!  Ella especially loved the tall guys!!!

Hunter got the bill of his beloved hat signed....he especially liked the girl players : )

2013 - May 29th

Today Hunter and his 3rd grade class went on a fieldtrip to Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge, and I got to go too!!!!  It was raining as we were pulling up, and even when we were in the classroom part but we got lucky and stayed dry throughout the trip!

In the classroom learning about habitats
Scavenger hunt
Hunter and a Great Horned Owl
His owl face : )
Hunter and his friend Aaden
Eating our sack lunch

The class listening to another speaker
skimming the water for invertebrates.

I am SO happy that Hunter's friend Kellen's dad was with our group.....he helped with the yucky stuff!
Checking to see if they caught anything
A snail
Examining the water.  There was some gross stuff in there!!!!! Makes me never want to get in a lake again!

Checking out birds on our hike
A Trumpeter Swan
and another one!
swimming to eachother.  Hard to see?  Yeah, it was in person too : )
I am so thankful that I was able to go with my boy....and super thankful that he still wants me too!  I had a fun day with him and his friends! I will be sad when the school year is over, he has a great group
of kids in his class and a lot of supportive parents!!!
Then there is this child.  She was so naughty during occupational therapy today that her therapist left 30 minutes early (and she puts up with a lot!) It was mildly funny that as soon as the therapist left Ella sat at the table (that she refused to sit at) and colored and put stickers in her book.

2013 - May 28th

Ella had baseball tonight! The weather was a little iffy but it held out and she was able to play! She really does love this team, and so do I!!!!

This is her ready to run stance!
Goof!
Ha ha. Despite this moment Ella did pretty good out in the field today! So much more exciting than her past tball league!
Hunter playing a game on Micah's phone
Ella is hitting awesome when we practice and then her swing changes when she is up to bat...not sure what to do about that. BUT she is hitting : )

Such a great group of people!!!!!!!

2013 - May 27th

The kids and I set out on a walk down to the river this afternoon, pulling our red wagon with us. We went to go pick rocks to paint! Ella walked almost the whole time....over an mile. It was nice and peaceful down by the river and we had a fun time loading up our wagon!  It started to sprinkle on our way home so we decided we should probably not paint rocks. Instead we went to the backyard and played.

Planter on the back patio...the ones we did yesterday
Planters up on the back deck

 My cool cork screw willows

As soon as I took this pic it reminded me of one I took of him as a baby
He was the sweetest baby ever!!! Hunter at about 4 or 5 months old in Alaska

Cupcake break

LOL
We decided that it wasn't actually going to rain so we decided to go ahead and paint our rocks

Luckily we picked a lot of rocks....enough for all the neighbor kids : )

sweet Shelby made a rock for Ella...hard to see in this pic but she wrote Ella on it!
planter in the front yard
My favorites...can't remember what they are called!
I don't think this shirt will ever be the same.
 My beautiful? rock garden!
