2013 - Day 7

We got a lot of snow last night and then it was kind of warm during the day, about 37ish degrees, so it became a slushy mess!

I picked Ella up from school today and physically picked her up in the hallway.  Her pants were SOAKED.  I said "why are your pants wet?" Ella immediately responds with " I NO PEE MY PANTS!!!!" Luckily her teacher was right there and said that Ella decided to be the only kid to slide on the snow covered slide at recess. LOL.  That girl loves the snow and doesn't mind being wet apparently.  The front.....
And the back.  Just so everyone knows I DID send her snow pants to school with her in her backpack but I guess they don't put them on the kids?  It really is the first real snow of kindergarten : )
Hunter returned to Boy Scouts tonight for the first time since before break.  He earned his whittling chip and can now officially carry his pocket knife.  Yay?!?!?
At home after his bath talking to Dad before bed.
And Ruby : )

2013 - Day 6

It snowed last night and the kids were excited to go play outside.

We went "sledding" in the backyard.  Not much of a hill but Ella had a blast.
Fake smile but I love how his eyes match his hat!

Hunter's ball in our tree.

Hunter was towing Ella.  It was quite cute but I was a bit nervous to stop for too long and take a picture.
Ella riding in a jeep with the neighbors.
After playing outside the kids came in and had some Hot Cocoa.

2013-Day 5

Phew!  Blogger is giving me fits today about loading my pictures, I didn't think I was going to get them on here, of course now it is 2AM. Urgh.

Anyhow, today we headed to the newish Children's museum Science Center.  It is pretty cool and we had a great time!

Ella got a little freaked out by the turtles right when we walked in.  She was looking at them in the glass and one swam up to her and she scooted away and it kept following her.  It was pretty funny...but she didn't think so!
This picture just cracks me up.  You can't really see the turtle due to the reflection but it began following Hunter around!
After she watched Bubba do it she decided it wasn't so bad after all!
Then we headed over to launch 2 litter bottles filled with water and air!
Playing in water
<

You got this tire spinning on the stand and then take it off and sit in the chair and it will make the chair spin.
A balancing board...aka Surfer girl board to Ella
Ella annoyed that I have the camera out : )
3D glasses and bean bag toss
It doesn't get any cooler than this!
Checking out some X-rays.  Ella's peanut thumb.
This was hilarious.  It's some mind game where you try to get the ball to the other person's side while using your mind.  I don't know if you can tell or not but the box on the right of the computer screen is Ella's brain, off the chart (literally) wave activity....
and daddy's chart on the left....almost no activity. LOL.  Really the way to win the game is to relax (hince the no brain waves) and sadly there was just no way for Ella to relax.  I wonder if that is how her brain always is in an overstimulating place???  I played against Hunter and couldn't get my waves to go anywhere near as high as Ella's even though I was trying.  Interesting.
Hunter building circuits
And gazing up at the stars!!!!
....and now Hunter annoyed with the camera. LOL.
Finally at home, showered and in comfy pajamas : )

2013- Day 4

I found new snowpants for the kids today for $9! Woo-hoo. Not that we have really needed them yet this year, but both of the kids snowpants were really too small. These should fit next year too : ) Don't they look thrilled to be trying them on?
Ella making shadow puppets on the wall with her light.
The kids were playing a form of hide and seek, they would take turns hiding this little Angry Bird and then had to go upstairs in the dark with their lights and find it.  Hunter gave up after a while because Ella would go hide it and then come down and tell him where it is.
After dinner Hunter and I finished the Diary of A Whimpy Kid puzzle!

2013 - Day 3

Oh my Ella..... Ella's general ed teacher stopped me in the hall to tell me that they had talked about New Years with the kids today and asked the kids what their resolution is. Ella said she wanted to "get my mom to clean my room." LOL. Then the special ed teacher said that Ella had a rough day in physical therapy today and the PT had to redirect her 7 times in 30 minutes. Guess the honeymoon is over, welcome to the lives of her private therapists. As we were walking out Ella said "I know I know no shows today, I in big trouble." Gotta love that kid.
The many faces of Ella
She would play for awhile and then do this for awhile all evening.  Hopefully she is just adjusting to being back on the school routine.
Hunter is wearing his new footie jammies that Nana got him for Christmas.
He came down and Ella told him "you baby jammies." So Hunter pretended to cry like a baby.  Luckily he doesn't care what his sister thinks about his clothes : )
Hunter and I started a journal back and forth to eachother.  He writes me a letter and asks me questions like what do you think the coolest truck or car is?  And leaves it on my bed and then I write him back and stick the notebook under his pillow.  I think it is so cool and I love reading what he has to write!!!

2013 - Day 2

The kids headed back to school today!

Ella had Occupational Therapy here at the house with Robin.  Here she is on a balance board which she pretended was a surf board.."look mom I a surfer girl!"  She sure is a hard worker when she wants to be!!
Hunter and I started a puzzle tonight after his bath.  I love the little conversations we have when we do projects together : )

2013 - Day 1

Well....it's a new year! I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us, but it would be really nice if time could just slow down a little bit!   These two are getting too big too fast.  Here they are before bed tonight.
Making their "sad" faces because they are headed back to school in the morning.  I will miss them : (  Don't let them fool you though, they both LOVE school!
