Day 247

Well, it's official. Summer is over and this mama is sad! I cannot believe that I will have a 3rd grader and a kindergartener tomorrow. We had the kid's open houses today. Ella's was first. She was.....over stimulated? She was kind of all over the place and grumpy. The teachers were very nice though so I am very hopeful that this is going to be a great year for her. Hunter's was next. We got the teacher we were hoping for and he has several friends in his class. This teacher is supposed to be pretty challenging academically so it should be a great year for him! Oh yeah, and Ella had her appointment with the eye doctor today...surgery is scheduled for September 27th. Ugh. She also got a change in her glasses prescription (she has refused her glasses this entire summer after receiving new lenses in July, the bifocal line was too high) and she will no longer have bifocals as they aren't really helping. She has no prescription in one lense (as far as the vision itself goes) and almost none in the other but apparently she has pretty significant astigmatisms in both eyes so that needs to be corrected. Anyhow, she won't have her new glasses in for 2 weeks. Here is Hunter standing outside of his school after his open house!
