Day 31

Phew...made it the whole month, only 11 more to go!

Here is Hunter, riding his bike in snow pants and snow boots, because there is one little pile of snow left and he just can't resist playing it!

Day 29

We spent the day moving furniture back into the family room!!

Hunter is so happy to have his table back so he can play cars on it. If you look behind him you can see a little bit of the floors!

And Ella helped Daddy tighten the legs on the couch! See the pretty floor????

Day 27

I currently have no internet connection at my house because we are installing our new floors and the main computer is disconnected as well as my router. So, I am sitting in the parking lot at Barnes and Noble on my computer : )

Here is Hunter....being Hunter : )

Ella returned to OT today after something like 10 weeks off. Sorry for the poor quality, they are from my cell phone!
Here is Ella on the climbing wall!

She made it to the top!!

Here she is balancing on the swing, she has to pinch the clothes pins and move them to another side...really hard work when your fingers are so small!!

Working hard!

Having a little chat with Robin (the OT) because Ella said it was "too hard. I'm all done." LOL. Robin has a REALLY hard time not laughing at Ella's drama!

Day 26

Hunter and his friends built a ramp today, I had to take the picture with him not moving. I couldn't watch him do it, too scared : )
Ella had Girl Scouts tonight and they made flowers out of tissue paper, of course she had a lot of help from me...but she came home and told Daddy "look I made it all by myself!"

The friendship circle at the end of the meeting, and yes those girls are her age!

Day 24 - Reptile Man

Yesterday Hunter came home from school begging me to take him to see Reptile Man tomorrow (today,) "it only cost one dollar per person!!! Please please please." What is a mom to do...so of course I took Hunter and Ella to see Reptile Man tonight. Reptile Man is apparently popular and has been on TV shows such as Bill Nye the Science Guy, which I remember from when I was a kid. It was interesting, the guy was actually quite funny. Ella was not a fan of all the yelling by the 2 million kids (not really but sounded like it) every time the guy pulled out a new reptile, but she did like the alligator, tortoise, snakes "it's beautiful!" Hunter of course loved it!!!

I love this picture. Hunter was very into showing off his little sister to all his friends, and she was so excited to sit with him (until the screaming started.)

Hunter and Lucy the alligator
Ella standing next to Hunter and Lucy. She freaked out and wouldn't hold it. The Reptile Guy was so sweet. He actually brought the alligator up to Ella right after the show so she could pet it, and was so sweet to Ella and talked to her for quite a bit!

The kids with the tortoise.

Ella had a change of heart and really really wanted to go hold Lucy. The Reptile Man helped her out, she was good until Lucy moved and she freaked again, of course I hadn't gotten a picture yet. Luckily Reptile Man sweet talked Ella into trying again!

So, this is one of the snakes, the largest one he brought. That is one of our little friends in the center, Isali. Anyhow see the size of that snake????

Here is my crazy child face to face with that same snake. Talk about making me nervous. Though the Reptile Man did say that all of his snakes have had their venom surgically removed and that this is the sweetest snake he owns and he tells me "it's okay mom, it won't hurt her." My kid is afraid of screaming/shrieking kids but an 8 foot snake....no problem.

And just as a bonus picture here is the Reptile Man and some really creepy tortoise!!! Look at that mouth.

Day 22

I'm working on organizing and getting rid of stuff in this house. I tasked Hunter with going through his things in his room and getting rid of stuff. This is how he does it...make a giant pile and throw away candy that he doesn't like from his Valentines Day stuff from last year (where that was hidden is beyond me.) I convinced him he could go ahead and throw away the Valentine's Day cards too. Hunter is so sentimental, I fear that I am raising a future hoarder....seriously. He doesn't even like to throw away old toothbrushes!

Ella has been playing in her room by herself long enough for her Chipmunks CD to play all the way through 4 times so far. That is a lot of Chipmunks, 17 songs 4 times. At least she isn't stealing the toys I am getting rid of out of the box : )

Day 21

I almost forgot to do this today!

Here is Hunter.....I have no words!
And a very disgruntled Ella. I threw out a bunch of toys today/put them in boxes to donate AND moved almost all of her toys from the family room down to the basement because we are going to put laminate floors in this week. Well, Ella was quite upset about her toys being moved. So she spent the afternoon/evening filling purses and backpacks with her toys and hauling them back upstairs. Here she is having a picnic in the upstairs living room.

Day 20 - more snow pictures

It snowed a lot yesterday and really early this morning. All of the school districts around us closed for today, but ours just had a two hour delay. Needless to say Hunter was quite disappointed!!! The roads really weren't too bad though. It rained a little this afternoon and is supposed to warm up tomorrow, so I think our snow is not going to be around for long!

My snow lover. 24 hours on antibiotics and his ear doesn't hurt at all....oh how I wish Ella responded to antibiotics the way Hunter does!!!
Goof!
Climbing up the snow mound by the driveway from Daddys electric shovel, using her face to help!

Hunter and the neighborhood kids sledding on the snow pile made by the plow.
Climbing
She climbed her way to the very top and was quite proud of herself!!!
Sliding down
Ella is yelling "my foot stuck!!!!" She was getting tired, I know it's hard to walk in deep snow, I'm guessing it's really really hard when it's up to your waist. LOL
She freed herself and said "this is too hard work, I go inside." Ha ha
